Bulls in Paddock

Transition…

For many years, Tandara Angus Stud has been committed to breeding quality Angus cattle from our home at Dorrigo, supplying genetics to commercial and stud producers throughout the region and beyond. We are immensely grateful for the support, friendship and loyalty shown by our clients, agents, industry partners and fellow breeders over that journey.

The 2026 Final Bull Sale marks the conclusion of our Angus stud breeding program and the dispersal of our remaining stud genetics. While this chapter is coming to a close, Tandara itself is not. The property will continue to operate as a commercial cattle enterprise, carrying forward the values of sound stockmanship, animal welfare and sustainable production that have always underpinned our business.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all those who have supported Tandara Angus Stud over the years. Whether you purchased a bull, offered advice, provided services, represented us as an agent, or simply shared in our passion for the Angus breed, your contribution has been greatly appreciated.

We are particularly proud of the relationships that have been built through the stud and of the many herds that continue to benefit from Tandara genetics. It has been a privilege to work with so many dedicated cattle producers and industry professionals.

As we move into the next phase of our farming operation, we look back with gratitude and pride on what has been achieved and thank everyone who has been part of the Tandara story.

Stud Sire NGMR186

Stud Sire NGMR186

We purchased the BOOROOMOOKA KEYSTONE R186 sire NGMR186 at the Booroomooka Sale in 2022 after a big search from many Studs for a new Stud Sire. We were restricted following the bloodlines we have used in our Stud, such as Deer Valley All In, Thunderbird, Ten Speed, SAV Prosperity, Comrade, Bartel, Commando, Traction, The Farrer bull by Carabar Docklands, PowerPoint, Phoenix, Beast Mode, Paratrooper, Chiltern Park Moe, Mogck Entice and our previous sire NFSM17 by Te Mania Hosken out of a Bartel daughter.
This Keystone Bull out of a Matauri Reality 839 daughter ticked all the boxes for us with a birthweight of +2.8, gestation -9, moderate growth of 56/102/130, milk +19, scrotal +2.6 (actual 44 cms), EMA +9.1, carcase weight +80, RBY +1.2 & IMF +1.9.
Excellent foot angle & claw.
He has grown out into a very impressive Sire with excellent length, bone & muscle development.
His first progeny have inherited their Sire’s traits. They are looking very promising and will be available in our 2024 Sale.
